Hijama (Arabic: حجامة lit. "sucking") is the Arabic term for wet cupping, in this, blood is drawn by vacuum from a small skin incision for therapeutic purposes. The practice has Greek and Persian origin and is mentioned by Hippocrates.Remember that Hijama is an easy yet very effective way of assisting your body to heal and prevent it from becoming imbalanced and consequently unwell. There are mainly two types of Cupping Therapy, Dry Cupping and Wet Cupping Therapy.
In Dry Cupping, cups are placed on the skin for a couple of minutes with suction causing localized hyperemia and healing isencouraged. In Wet Cupping, cups with suction are placed on the skin for a couple of minutes followed by superficial skin incision being made to the cupped skin. The cup is generally left in place for five to 10 minutes;A small quantity of blood is then extracted from the skin. The blood extracted is believed to be harmful to the body and its removal brings relief and healing.
Hijama treatment is releases toxins. It detoxify the body and also directly de-acidifies tissues, enhances blood circulation, stimulates the immune system and reduces stress as it releases chemicals in the brain that reduce stress and depression. Another benefit of Hijama therapy is that it facilitates a sufficient flow of nutrition to the affected tissues and stimulates the flow of blood and lymph to the affected area.

As for the Islamic day and night, the night enters before the day. So at sunset on Tuesday, Wednesday night comes in. Cupping is best performed during the daytime between the adhaan of fajr and the adhaan of maghrib because yawm in arabic means daytime.
